Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiun, a do'a (moslem special prayed to express deep sorrow), to Mr. Abdurahman Wahid (Gus Dur), former 4th president of Indonesia. He was passed away at 18.45 wib (6.45 pm), 30 December 2009, on Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia.
I was stunned when i was watching on tvone channel breaking news on 20.01 wib (8.01 pm) last night. It is a great lost of Indonesia. A cheerful president who has made indonesian smiled for his funny statement, "Indonesian parliament looks like children playground". Uniquely, he never attending any parliament moment.
Mr. BJ. Habibie (former 3rd president of Indonesia) and his wife, Mrs. Ainun; Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri (former 5th president of Indonesia and a daughter of Mr. Soekarno, 1st president of Indonesia who has passed away) and her husband, Taufik Kiemas (Chief of indonesian parliament) and Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (President of Indonesia) and his wife, Mrs. Annie have been attending at Gus Dur's house, Ciganjur, South Jakarta, to honor their fellow president.
Mr. Cameron Hume, US ambassador and other neighboring country representatives were attending last night.
Indonesian was gathering wherever Gus Dur body was lied down. At Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital, Ciganjur, Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Jakarta, Juanda Airport Surabaya and Jombang (Gus Dur childhood home). Almost all over Indonesia, their were gathering to pray for Gus Dur.
Indonesian rises their national flag, red-white flag on half for a week to honor their former 4th president of Indonesia.
Gus Dur will be placed on left side of his father cemetery at Pondok Pesantren Modern Tebuireng (Modern moslem boarding school Tebuireng) at Jombang, East Java.
