Riding a bike
Riding a bicycle is an option to save money from transport fee. Rather than complaining about world economic crisis. I choose to find a way to save money.
Besides, riding a bike makes me fit and helping others to breathe clean air.
Be very careful to ride a bike in Jakarta. Jakarta do not have any bicycle way yet. Mini and micro bus always cut me off and motorbike riders does it, too. Suddenly, I have to pull out my hand brake very hard to avoid collision with motorbike riders, mini and micro bus.
Use folding bike, if your office or your school does not have much parking lot. You can folding your bike and keep it in save place.
Put necessary bicycle lamp on your back. Let others know that you are riding a bike especially in night time.
Set up mirror on top of your bike handle on the left and the right, to watch your back from mirror before you are turning left or right.
Put on your bike helmet on your head. Keep your head save!
Use your eyeglasses to protect your eyes from road dust or fog.
Use a simple breath apparatus looks like masker to help you breathe clean air.
Wear bicycle costume to comfort your move. You can wear a tee shirt with jeans, dress pants or training clothes will do.
Wear bicycle shoes or other kind of shoes will do, to protect your feet from collision or hit the road.
Use a hand gloves to keep your hands stay on grip of bicycle handle.
Ride safely, use bicycle way as your local government provided.
Use traffic light to cross an intersection and…
Don’t forget, to use your hand while your are turning left or right. So other driver at back will knows where you want to go and take a good distance to you.
Safety first!
It was happening several years ago, when I was riding motorcycle with my friend, Tri Hardoyo. He was driving the motorbike and I am a passenger. I was wearing a pair of sandals, t-shirt and trouser. My head was covered by worker-style helmet.
We was riding slowly, but suddenly, a careless car was driving so fast. My friend, Tri, was trying to stabilisize motorbike handle and boom…
I was jumping and rolling over on the road. Tri was sliding down with his motorbike, hoping his motorbike machine didn’t break into pieces.
I am lying down on the Daan Mogot road, my eyes was watching blue sky high and trying to get up. Fortunately, my face almost had kissed by silver car front hood. The silver car driver had kicked his car brake on time. Alhamdulillah, I was safe and alive. Suddenly, the silver car driver was yelled at me.
Astagfirullah, my friend, Tri as I remembered. Did he safe?
Fortunately, he was standing in the middle separator section, under a big tree. He was sad, watching his motorbike had lied down on the road, Daan Mogot kilometer 13 main street. Such, a lucky number 13!
I have heard some spooky stories about this Daan Mogot kilometer13.
Here some tips to be save riding motorbike:
Service your motorbike regularly, braking system, motor handle, motor engine, chain system or belt system, motor bike and all-in-one comprehensive services.
Use half-face or full-face helmet. Worker style type helmet is not an option. I have one and had been broken into pieces when it hits on the road. Very scary, isn’t it? Pay little bit more to protect your own head.
Use motorbike shoes or no string attach shoes to avoid your string shoes had tied up to your motorbike wheel.
Use a jacket, motorbike jacket is a good choice. But you can wearing a nice and cozy leather jacket will be fine.
Use a motorbike pant, trousers, jeans or dress pants, to protect your knees, your legs and your own feet.
Say Bismillahirraahmirrahim for Moslem and others can prayed based on your own believes.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala protect us, all! Amin!

Silat is indonesian traditional martial art
Silat comes from Silaturahim means visiting your neighbor with peace. Shorten as Silat.. Silat has been used to fight occupied enemy or aggressor. Silat fighter also known as pendekar silat. Or just called him, Abang.
Abang is very polite person and humble, never want to establish himself as pendekar silat. If you are silat master, you will be called as Jawara, originated from Juara means champion. Yes, champion of Silat, fighting another pendekar to gain his position as Silat master, Jawara.
When Indonesia has been occupied by aggressor, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Japan before 1945. Jawara has been splitted into 2 big groups, freedom fighter who will fight for his country’s freedom and doggy fighter, Jawara who is served himself to aggressor side. They will fight against each other to defend their believes until one of them were death.
Until one day, they are united to get their own freedom and accomplished their mission, Indonesia’s freedom on 17 August 1945.
Today, Silat or Pencak Silat has huge organization called IPSI stands for Ikatan Pencak Silat Indonesia, means Indonesia Pencak Silat Association looks like Pencak Silat huge brotherhood.

They come from so many country and different believes but they are supportive and respect to each other, and will help you while you are in need.
Garuda is failed to win
I am shocking when i was watching Garuda's soccer team, what we was called our indonesian soccer team. They was playing under-pressured and under-estimated by themselves, 46 thousand supporters was trying to support by yelling and cheering inside Bung Karno Stadium.
I am praying at home, hoping Garuda could win last night, 6 January 2010, starting at 18.00 (6.00 pm) live exclusively on rcti. They played to be qualifiers on Asia Cup Qatar 2011.
First half time, Fawzi Basheer Razak, 10, was heading on ball and goal... Garuda has lost 1 goal against Oman soccer team. Garuda has played on their own, not as team. I knew their height only less than 170 cm average, compare to Omanian soccer player who have height more than 175 cm average. But their spirit was amazing, following wherever ball has gone. Unfortunately on 31', Oman had first score.
Loosing position, did not make Boas Salossa, 7, fail. He had to lose 3 guarded soccer player and scored one goal to Indonesia at 44'. Direct kicked was amazing, Mr. Ali Al Habsyi, goal keeper had to surrender and let the ball go. Ali is a goal keeper for Bolton Wanderer football club, UK.
First half has ended with Indonesia versus Oman, 1-1.
Second half, Oman took a revenge, Ismail Al Ajmi Sulaiman, 15, has kicked his goal by leaving 4 Garuda's guarded goal keeper at 52'.
Garuda's has fair played with all his strength. And the soccer player game has 5 yellow card, 3 yellow card to indonesia: Charis Yulianto, 6, as captain, Boas Salossa, 7, and Syamsul chaerudin Bakri, 16 and 2 yellow card to Oman: Muhammad Rabea, 2, as captain and Fauzi Basheer Razak, 10, who was diving on penalty area's.
Whole soccer player has done their best, using their best costume team, Indonesia soccer team have nike costume team and Oman soccer team have adidas costume team.
Their shoes were different. Indonesia was wearing nike soccer shoes and Oman was wearing adidas soccer shoes. Watching them played, like 2 giant shoes product had war in green field.
Amazing isn't it?
Watching them as live shoes endorser.

Save my cellular phone bills
I always buy 25,000 rupiah credits on my pre-paid im-3 card voucher or e-voucher for a month, only for 27,000 rupiah or 2.7 US Dollar (1 US Dollar = 10,000 rupiah). I use this im-3 card from indosat. Because most of my friends use indosat products, before axis (other GSM product) and Esia (CDMA product) came out and become competitor. Axis has claimed itself as cheapest rate on GSM and Esia as cheapest rate on CDMA. And my friends use various competitor products as long as it fits on their budget. Even my mother, Tina and my sister, Rohmah use CDMA product, Esia.
At first, they want me to change my im-3 to Esia to get cheaper rate as the same Esia community. I choose to stay on im-3 because my cell phone number is already recognized by anyone who knows my cell-phone number. Why should I have to buy a CDMA cell phone to migrate from GSM to CDMA? It takes more money to spend to have a new Esia number.
I prefer using Short Message Services (SMS) to voice call to reduce m cell phone bills. Except it is very urgent or emergency call.
